: dave, the white house is holding a press conference right now from martha's vineyard where the president is on vacation. we're going to take a live look at the press conference. this white house spokesman said a few moments ago that the u.s. strongly condemns the use of violence in ejit. he said the world -- egypt. he said the world is watching and is telling both sides to refrain from using violence. this is in response to the deadly crashes in egypt. egyptian security forces used bulldozerses, weapons to clear camps. the egyptian health ministry says 95 people are dead and close to 900 others injured. the dratters are calling -- the demonstrators are calling for the reinstatement of mohammed morsi. egyptian lived under emergency law for decades. when police powers were extended and constitutional rights of sit stens were sus -- citizens were suspended. the white house says the u.s. strongly opposes the state of emergency. they know the rights of citizens will be restricted. he also says the lines of communication between egypt and the u.s. remain, steady. kayla campbell, ktvu
